How can my child attend?

Requirements

If your child will be 3 or 4 on or before July 31, 2025, they are eligible for our 2025/2026 school year!  

*Families that have children who will NOT be 3 on or before July 31, 2025 will need to wait until January 2026.

Please note: all children must be toilet trained before the first day of school and meet the Missouri Preschool Immunization Requirements.

Students turning 5 on or before July 31, 2025 are kindergarten eligible and, therefore, will not be able to attend Nixa Early Childhood. 

 

How will I know if my child received placement?

Getting on the interest list does not guarantee placement. Tuition-based classes are filled in the order families are on the list. Peer model classes are filled based on the need of each classroom, and Title One classes are filled based on qualifying scores on the DIAL-4 screening. 

Placement occurs in April and May. Communication regarding placement will occur mainly through email. Add larawilbur@nixaschools.net and brittanyneely@nixaschools.net to your contacts to ensure information is not sent to your junk folder. Contact our office at 417-724-6300 for any additional questions. Families will be notified with a placement offer or notification classes are full. If classes are full, you will have the option to remain on a waiting list.
